Communications in the Raion are provided by two institutions: the Valky City Post Office Center No.3 of the Kharkiv Ukrposhta Directorate and the Valky Telecommunications Unit of OJSC Ukrtelecom.

The post office center has 28 branches, including four urban and 24 rural branches. It provides the services of domestic and international post, offers subscriptions for periodicals, processes utility payments, handles money transfers, etc.

The telecommunications unit has 23 telephone exchanges, including one urban ATX and 11 radio transmission nodes.

The city ATX has a capacity of 2,400 lines. Rural ATXs have a total capacity of 2,700 lines. There are 49 telephones per 100 households in the Raion.

The Raion has an Internet access node. There are 90 Internet users at present.
There is a local radio station in the city of Valky.
Upgrading the existing ATXs to digital units is to be implemented in the nearest future.
